Roadtrip to Honeysuckle Creek - Part 3 This is part 3 of a roadtrip to Honeysuckle Creek approximately 25km south of Canberra. This was the site of the tracking station that received the first video signals from the Apollo 11 moon landing including the famous "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind".
For those conspiracy theorists out there who think the moon landings were faked, just consider the number of people outside of the US that were involved. Honeysuckle Creek was staffed by 110 Australians and cost AU$2,000,000 dollars (in 1966 money) to build. You cannot honestly believe that this much money and all these people were in on some elaborate hoax?
