奧運聖火香港傳遞 Olympic Torch Relay in Hong Kong
奧運火炬香港區傳送 奧運會香港火炬接力今天（5月2日）在港舉行。行政長官曾蔭權表示，香港是亞洲國際都會，能夠成為祖國國土上奧運聖火傳遞的第1站，感到無尚光榮；並期望聖火能夠為世界各地的人民，點燃起團結及和平的火光。 他指出，奧運宣揚友誼、平等、團結，這正是香港社會的核心價值；這些政府奉行的價值，是香港賴以成功的因素。 曾蔭權今早在文化中心舉行的北京2008年奧運會香港區火炬接力起跑儀式上表示，奧運聖火傳遍全球5大洲之後，回到中國國土。 他指出，作為國家的國際化城市，香港獨特之處是擔當橋樑角色，連接中國和世界各地的人民。 曾蔭權說：「香港是世界的縮影，在彼此包容和互相尊重的精神下，能夠匯聚不同種族、不同信仰、不同意見。同樣，這種精神燃點奧運聖火，令它燃燒得更加明亮。 「奧運聖火在香港接力傳遞後，將走遍國家遼闊的土地。我衷心希望，聖火能夠為世界各地的人民，點燃起團結及和平的火光。只要我們願意，必定可以達到『同一個世界，同一個夢想』的目標。」 北京奧組委執行副主席楊樹安在香港區火炬接力起跑儀式上點燃奧運聖火，把聖火移交予曾蔭權。 曾蔭權隨即後把祥雲火炬交給香港站首位火炬手，1996年奧運會帆船比賽冠軍李麗珊。 香港站的火炬接力從文化中心廣場出發，經彌敦道、青馬大橋、石門龍舟訓練中心、沙田馬場、尖沙咀海濱公園、星光大道，終點是金紫荊廣場。 The Olympic Torch is being relayed through Hong Kong. Speaking at the Olympic Torch Relay launch at the Cultural Centre, Mr Tsang said the relay resumes on Chinese soil after its global journey across five continents. Bridging role "It is a great and solemn honour for Hong Kong, Asia's world city, to be the first city in China to welcome back the Olympic Flame on behalf of our proud nation. As a cosmopolitan city of China, Hong Kong is uniquely placed to play this bridging role between the peoples of the world, and the people of our country," Mr Tsang said. "The Olympic ideals of friendship, fair play and solidarity are, indeed, universal ideals that are an intrinsic part of our society. We don't just embrace them; they are part of what makes us tick." Mr Tsang said Hong Kong is a world in a city where different people with different beliefs and different views have thrived in the spirit of diversity, tolerance and respect. "This same spirit feeds the Olympic Flame, and makes it burn brightly. As the Olympic Torch is relayed through Hong Kong - and as it travels across the vast expanse of our country in the months ahead - I truly hope that it will continue to blaze a trail of unity and peace, for all people, of all nations. The goal of 'One World, One Dream' is there for us to achieve," he added. The Olympic Torch Relay started at the Cultural Centre this morning.
